Level 03: Growth Partnership

The growth function, embedded.

Not another advisor. A growth function that runs.

Our complete fractional service. We become part of your leadership team and own growth as a function: creating the strategy, building the capability, mentoring your people, developing partnerships, identifying opportunities and converting them into sustainable growth.

The difference

The difference between advice and a function.

Most external growth support ends at the recommendation. Someone capable comes in, tells you what to do, and leaves you to find the time to do it. The advice is usually sound. The execution is where it dies, because the reason growth wasn't happening was never a shortage of good ideas.

A Growth Partnership works differently. We take ownership of growth as a function within your business. We sit in the leadership layer, we're accountable for agreed metrics, and the work gets done rather than recommended.

Practically, that means you have someone senior whose job is growth: building the pipeline, developing the partnerships, mentoring the team, and being answerable for the numbers at the end of the month. What a full-time Chief Growth Officer would do, at the level of input your business actually needs.

The work

What the Partnership involves.

Everything in Growth Blueprint and Growth Enablement is included. What follows is what the full Partnership adds.

01

Embedded fractional CGO time

We're part of the leadership team. In your leadership meetings, across the numbers, contributing to decisions that affect growth: pricing, capacity, hiring, market focus, which clients to grow and which to let go.

Cadence is set to the business. Some clients need weekly presence, others fortnightly. It flexes when there's a market to enter or a major opportunity in play.

02

Partnership and referral network development

Building the relationships that produce work you never had to advertise for. Referral partners, complementary providers, industry bodies, channel relationships and the community networks that quietly drive a lot of service business revenue in Australia.

This is slow work that compounds, which is exactly why it never survives inside a busy business without someone owning it.

03

Active pipeline and opportunity management

We work the pipeline rather than reporting on it. Opportunities get identified, qualified, progressed and closed with us actively involved, alongside your people, not instead of them.

The pipeline stops being a list of people who said they'd get back to you.

04

Ongoing mentoring of leadership and BD teams

Continuous development of your people, so capability builds inside the business over the life of the engagement. The intent is that your team grows into the function rather than depending on ours indefinitely.

A good Growth Partnership should make itself progressively less necessary.

05

Monthly reporting against agreed growth metrics

We agree the metrics at the start and report against them monthly: pipeline value and movement, conversion rates, partnership activity, revenue against target, and an honest account of what worked and what didn't.

If the numbers aren't moving, that conversation happens early and directly.

How it runs

What working together actually looks like.

1

Growth conversation

Fifteen minutes to establish fit, both ways.
2

Assessment and strategy

We get inside the business, then build the growth strategy and roadmap.
3

Scope and cadence

Agreed metrics, agreed presence, agreed responsibilities. Written down so nobody's guessing.
4

Embedded execution

The work runs, with monthly reporting and quarterly strategy review.

Engagements are scoped to the business rather than sold as fixed packages. Most run on an ongoing monthly basis.

Who it's for

This is the right level when...

Growth needs an owner and there isn't one, and a full-time senior hire isn't justified or isn't the right risk right now.
You've had advice before and the problem was never the advice. It was that nobody had the capacity to act on it.
There are partnerships, markets or opportunities you know are available and nobody has the time to develop them.
You want someone senior accountable for growth numbers rather than reporting on them.

If the business is under real operational strain (delivery slipping, margins unclear, key people at breaking point), pushing growth in will make that worse before it makes it better. We'll tell you that on the call rather than three months in.

The first conversation is fifteen minutes and costs nothing.
